Alisa H. Braddy brings a wealth of experience and practical ideas for implementing brain-compatible education and the HET model in the classroom. Alisa has elementary classroom experience and the ability to share and lead others in brain-compatible education.
Having long been a member of professional organizations such as the NEA, Delta Kappa Gamma (Women Educator's Society), and the South Carolina Science Council, Alisa was chosen to be Horry County Teacher of the Year in 2000. While teaching young children is her first love, Alisa also was a part-time College Associate for Coastal Carolina University. Her desire to be a life-long learner is evident in the number of additional trainings she attends to increase her understanding of the real world and extend her professional growth. With training in TRIBES, Project Wild, and Project Aquatic, and being a recipient of both the Pablo Python Looks at Animals Scholarship and the Roper Mountain Science P.L.U.S. Institute Scholarship, Alisa's vast knowledge and wisdom add depth to all of her presentations.
Alisa, a responsible citizen, has been involved in her community's Big Sister/Little Sister Program, has been director of the Myrtle Beach Jaycees, volunteers at the Humane Society, and is active in her church. Alisa resides near Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with her husband and son. |
