Often described as "a teacher's teacher," Linda Jordan brings great enthusiasm, competence, and common sense to her work. Her firsthand experiences implementing the Highly Effective Teaching (HET) model convinced her of the importance of acting on insights from the brain research to boost student achievement. A master presenter, Linda engages adult learners with her sincere and credible style. She works to help schools across the country implement HET while also contributing to the next generation of educators as Associate Professor of Education at Hope College, Michigan, where she teaches Educational Psychology, Classroom Management and Curriculum and Methods for Science, Math and Social Studies.  She also is a part of the founding team, which established the Midwest Brain and Learning Institute at Hope College as well as the creator and instructor for an on-line certification in Advanced Learning.

Linda's training and experience prepare her to provide valuable information and advice on a variety of aspects of school improvement. She holds both the BA and MA degrees in education and is a doctorial candidate at Michigan State University.  Linda has served as a teacher of kindergarten through college during her career. She has extended her participation beyond the classroom level as a member of school and district groups that include leadership council, school improvement team, child study team, and the district vision planning team. She helped to write successful grant proposals and is a popular presenter at state and national conferences. In 2007, Linda co-created the Highly Effective Teaching Certification process that develops school on-site leaders. Linda served as curriculum coordinator for the proposed National Plus School project in Jakarta, Indonesia. Because of her many accomplishments, she was recognized in "Who's Who Among American Teachers" and received the National Points of Light Foundation Award for Service Learning. Linda is a contributor to Service Learning Flagship newsletter and contributing author to Finding Our Way: Reforming Teacher Education in the Liberal Arts Setting.
