2011 SEE Conference Choice Sessions and HANDOUTS
The 2011 Schools Exceeding Expectations (SEE) Conference will offer participants a meaningful and interactive professional development training. Hosted by the Richland School District Two in Columbia, South Carolina, various locations will accommodate this dynamic training in beautiful South Carolina.
Participants are encouraged to download and print information and handouts ahead of time. Be sure to read the descriptors and select your Choice Sessions for Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, then download the corresponding handout from the tables below. Lewis & Clark College - Continuing Education (CE) College Credit for HET trainings.
Participants may acquire college credit by signing up and completing forms at Registration.

This session will focus on the New National Common Core Standards and the next generation of assessments that will measure student growth. One of the most challenging aspects of educating children involves making sure their brains are primed and ready to learn. But, what happens when a student is not emotionally prepared for the day? How do you help the student who had a poor experience on the bus or at home before school? Round Top Elementary Related Arts Teachers (music, art, PE, technology, dance, media, and guidance) will present an overview of Passports to New Worlds (PNW). This is a cross curricula unit of study focusing on different continents (six countries within). The related arts teachers will highlight the culminating ‘virtual travel’ days that have students immersed in each country by demonstrating elements of this highly engaging teaching model. |
