Implementing the Highly Effective Teaching (HET) Model, this 3rd grade teacher and her class provide a wonderful example of how to use a Town Hall Meeting as a tool for taking care of business within the classroom. Town Hall meetings provide the opportunity for students to learn community skills, social interaction, organized meeting structures, and preparation for responsible citizenship. Students can rotate through various roles, learning necessary leadership skills.
